Look for Holiday items from Paper Meditations on Etsy.com

September began with a wonderful break! My husband and I flew across the country to San Diego, California where we enjoyed a week of beautiful weather, beaches, the famous zoo and many other  sights and activities. Unfortunately on the first night of our vacation, I got news that my elderly mother had pushed her emergency alert button and was on her way to her local hospital 3,000 miles away from us! Fortunately my brother was able to be with her and she was released the same night but of course I remained concerned for the rest of the trip.

Right after returning home, refreshed and ready to start a new week I got another alert that Mom had pushed her button again and was on her way to the hospital! I spent that week with my mom in the hospital and then at her home in New Jersey while she regained her strength a bit. That was a stress filled week so I was glad to get home and regroup.

Finally, halfway through September, I started a new paper art idea that has a lot of potential. I have lots of options that I like but will eventually choose a few to frame. Here are some rough examples:

Let me know what you think of these in the comments section below.

I also focused some energy on my Etsy shop like I had planned. I still need to add my holiday wreath collection to the site but I have been working on a digital tutorial. Etsy sells many digital download  items and tutorials like this so I want to give it a try especially since I receive frequent requests for this type of thing. I hope to have a digital tutorial of my paper wreath design ready for sale on Etsy within the next week so keep a lookout if you are interested.  The instructions are simple with step by step instructions and many photos. Customers will be able to use their own scrapbook paper for the project so they can make many unique versions of the wreath. Here are some examples of the wreath:

If you prefer, these and more versions will be for sale on Etsy shortly. I hope you like them and give the tutorial a try, too. Let me know how it goes!
